Creating Art is a powerful way to achieve great mental health. It helps reduce stress, depression, anxiety and much more.
Art therapy makes use of the creative process, which exists in all of us, to facilitate growth, self expression, emotional healing, conflict resolution and transformation.
Art is great for everyone, across all ages. Through art therapy, you can
COMMUNICATE and articulate your experiences in a way which words can not
FIND RELIEF from overwhelming emotions and trauma
ACHIEVE a greater sense of well-being
Art therapy is particularly helpful for children. It is often recommended for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties who are less articulate and not able to express themselves through words but more likely to express their experience through art.
Art therapy can be used as a mental health tool on its own, or it can be used to complement any other form of therapy.
You do not need to have any experience in making art. I will guide you through the process and teach you each step of the way. In fact, I often find that clients who haven't had experience in making art, understand the process more easily.
